On September 16, Baptist Children’s Home (BCH), Owasso hosted its fifth annual Hope ‘N Homes Impact Run. The USATF-certified 5K and Fun Run had the largest participation ever with 173 runners. A 14-year-old runner set a course record finishing in 18 minutes and 7 seconds.

In addition to the races, the campus hosted a mini classic car show, cottage tours and activities for children of all ages. A returning participant from Bartlesville said she runs several 5K races every year, but the Hope ‘N Homes Run is her favorite because “you make it fun”.

Race Director Darla Neighbors said the event is a way to interact with the community. “The Impact Run is an excellent way to introduce young families and new friends to the ministry of OBHC,” she said. “The exciting atmosphere positively impacts our guests and residents as they focus on encouraging and supporting others.”

The race is operated by Martin Updike of i40 Race Service. Funds raised will go toward general operating expenses of BCH, Owasso.
