LifeWize is a volunteer, educational program that strives to empower middle school and high school students with character-based lessons including healthy decision-making, goal setting, life skills and sexual risk avoidance education.
LifeWize classes utilize nationally approved curriculum and are facilitated by community volunteers who have received required trainings at LifeWize Central. Programs can be tailored to meet the individual needs and schedules of your school.
Gwendolyn Poteat, LifeWize Director: A former teen mom herself, with years of experience in directing the KEEP Abstinence Education Program through the Oklahoma Family Policy Council in addition to having served two years as Center Manager and Peer Counselor at Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption Services.
Gwen has the experience and passion to teach and encourage students to reach their full potential by learning and practicing healthy decision making skills in the areas of relationships, abstinence, and parenting.
